What a busy weekend! Saturday started with Daddy taking Kaitlyn to her preschool basketball class. If you have ever seen her LOOOONG fingers and hands, you know this kid has the physical make-up to be a great basketball player! Plus, Mommy likes basketball and could handle watching games for years to come. At her basketball class, she did a great job and Tim thinks she's been practicing her dribbling skills! The last class, she just patted the ball and expected it to bounce back up. I explained to her that she needed to PUSH down the ball to get it to come back up. She must have listened! Daddy also got her a full-sized basketball on Sunday and they practiced in the driveway. So cute!

Kaitlyn's fave decoaration at RR |
The kids seemed to enjoy the show. Kaitlyn's favorite character was Bullseye (the horse). Archer's was Buzz Lightyear. Mommy's favorite part was the Barbie dance: several ditzy looking Barbies dressed in neon workout outfits (complete with leg warmers) dancing/doing aerobics to the Go Gos and Cyndi Lauper.... VERY funny! Daddy liked the Army Men (who quite possibly were the same skaters as the Barbies...).
Kaitlyn at Red Robin |
We all headed to Red Robin for dinner afterwards. Archer slept through almost the whole meal, while we tried to get the scoop on Justin from Kaitlyn. ;) Kaitlyn also took some pictures while at Red Robin. Give her a camera and she'll be happy for a long time!
Kaitlyn on a pony at the circus! |
On Sunday, we had tickets to the circus! Kaitlyn's pre-K class had been discussing the circus all week since it was in town. We figured, why not take her so she can see it first hand? It was a little crowded in our tiny seats but we think Kaitlyn had a pretty good time. She liked the tigers, a woman who did acrobatics on a swing and Afghan Hound dogs who did amazingly high jumps. At intermission, she also got to head down and ride on a pony, which was by far her most favorite moment. We decided not to stay for the second half after our long weekend and headed home.
While it can be tiring, it is nice we get to do these family outings. Having so many entertainment options available throughout the year is one thing I've always loved about living near East Lansing and within just a couple hours of Detroit. Hopefully Kaitlyn appreciates it too! :)
Kaitlyn already has an eye for photography, too! Love her 'perspective'of Red Robin! :)
